The remains of a medieval standing cross survive in the churchyard of Holy Trinity church at Bilsby, to the south east of the church porch, almost in line with chancel arch. J C Nattes drew Bilsby church and the cross c.1800 and shows the cross in this same location, although the church is now much altered.

The socket stone, which is now partially buried, stands about 0.18m above present ground level and is about 0.85m square with rounded edges. The stone has a square socket which still holds a fragment of the cross shaft about 1.25m high. On the upper surface of the shaft (which is flat) there are the remains of  iron pins – from a repair? – or possibly a mount for a sundial? The shaft is square at the base with chamfered stops forming an octagonal section, tapering as it rises. The stone is limestone.
