In the churchyard of St Margaret’s at Bag Enderby there is the socket stone for a medieval cross, 3.15m south of the south porch (Although AP comments ‘recently moved’). The stone is 60 cms N-S and 58 cms E-W; 16 cms of it above the ground. The socket hole is 34 cms N-S by 31 cms E-W and 20 cm deep (water filled). My measurements.
It has moulded corners (knobs) (see AP survey).
