In the churchyard of St Margaret’s at Bag Enderby there is the socket stone for a medieval cross, 3.15m south of the south porch (Although AP considers it ‘recently moved’). The stone is 0.6m N-S and 0.58m E-W; 0.16m of it above the ground. The socket hole is 0.34m N-S by 0.31m E-W and 0.2m deep (water filled). My measurements.
It has moulded corners (knobs) (see AP survey).
